Paths to QUALITY

What is Paths to QUALITY ?

Paths to QUALITY is a voluntary system created to improve the quality of child care and early educatin for children, give parents a tool to find the best quality program for their families needs and support and recognize providers on a four level rating system. The program has been studied and validated by the Child Development and Family Studies experts at Purdue University.



Vouchers

I need help paying for my child care. Can you help?

IACCRR does not provide this assistance however help is available through the Child Care Development Fund (CCDF). Please visit the Voucher section of our website for additional information


How do I get signed up for child care assistance?

Please visit the Voucher section of our website to locate the CCDF intake site for your area.


How do I get paid for caring for children through the voucher/ child care assistance program?

You must be a licensed or a certified (LLEP) child care provider meeting eligibility standards in order to receive reimbursement. Please contact TCC (The Child Care Consortium) at 1-866-921-6623 or 317-638-7095. You may also got to www.childcarefinder.in.gov on the left hand side click on "Become a Certified Unlicensed CCDF Provider"

Yes. Your first step would be to contact the program director at the local Child Care Resource and Referral Agency

Licensing

How do I become a licensed child care provider?

If you are interested in caring for five or fewer children and would like to be a Legally Licensed Exempt Provider (LLEP) contact TCC (The Child Care Consortium) at 866-921-6623 or 317-638-7096. If you are interested in caring for six or more children in your home you will need to attend the Licensing Orientation I Trainging through your local Child Care Resource & Referral agency. What are the requirements to become a licensed child care provider?

You can visit www.childcarefinder.in.gov to view licensing requirements for licensed homes, licensed centers and registered ministries.


How long does it take to become licensed?

It depends on the individual and how actively they pursue the application. It could take as little as 1 1/2 - 2 months or as long as a year.

Contact your local Child Care Resource and Referral Agency and ask to speak to the Paths to QUALITY Specialist. They can provide you with additional information as well as dates, times and locations of upcoming Introduction to Paths to QUALITY Sessions.
