Welcome to IACCRR
The Indiana Association for Child Care Resource and Referral (IACCRR) is a team of dedicated professionals committed to the development of a high quality statewide system of child care resource and referral (CCR&R) based in best practices. Through a network of community-based CCR&R agencies, IACCRR will reach out to Indiana families, child care providers and communities and will positively impact the quality of child care at the local, state and national levels.

The child care resource and referral system in Indiana provides the following services:

To families: assistance with information about the different types of child care available that meet their specific needs; access to information about the characteristics of quality child care; and information about other related community services.

To child care providers: access to professional development opportunities in early care and education, mentoring, assistance with starting a child care business, training on Indiana’s licensing rules, and regulations and recommendations for operating a quality child care program.

To communities: access to information about the supply and demand for child care through the collection and maintenance of a statewide database; support to the business community; and the identification of child care trends and gaps in services.

IACCRR is a leader in promoting quality child care that supports families, child care providers and communities throughout the state of Indiana. Our work sets the framework for services, training and access, as well as raising the bar for child care across the state.

Our Vision Statement:

A network of communities that support the highest quality of child care for all Indiana Families.

Paths to Quality
Paths to Quality LogoIndiana has chosen to implement a voluntary Quality Rating System that builds on a home grown model. All regulated child care providers will have the opportunity to participate. The original model was implemented by Early Childhood Alliance in Allen County and is known as “Paths to QUALITY.” The model and its replication in other areas of the state have shown dramatic success in assisting parents in locating quality child care and in improving the overall level of care in these areas. There will be a phased in statewide implementation period beginning 1/1/08 through 1/1/09. The system will be implemented in partnership with the Indiana Association of Child Care Resource and Referral and the Indiana Association for the Education of Young Children.
